Banana is a big MiniMonos fan and gives us really cool ideas and great feedback!
Banana likes recycling so much that she has the highest score for the Most Items Recycled! She likes collecting clouds so much she has the score for the most clouds collected in the Monkey Flight game! Wow! I bet her treehouse area is looking great.
As you can see, Banana is green! If you’d like to be a new eco-color, just ask minimonos Monkey next time you’re on the island!

We had some fantastic feedback from Creecha saying that monkeys on MiniMonos need more words to talk or send messages to other monkeys. There were not enough. We had also heard the same feedback from other monkeys.
So now there are lots more words to use! 1777 more words, actually!
So send minimonos monkey a cool message — we’ll post the best messages on the Go Bananas blog!

Who said flattery didn’t get you anywhere? Orange said 2 small words that made me, MiniMonos Monkey, feel 10 feet tall! This was Orange’s message to me on MiniMonos Island: “You’re cool”.

Actually, I REALLY like my new bright green. When people ask me about it, I say that’s because I’m a green eco-monkey dude who likes to recycle. Here’s what I look like now:

There are SO many wonderful things to say about our MiniMonos friend, Munkey!
First of all, he has worked hard to get himself a T-shirt — and he looks AWESOME!
And Munkey surprised us by creating the very first MiniMonos tips website! Check it out here! It’s so cool!
Plus Munkey has been chatting to us a lot in-world and has given us heaps of great suggestions for MiniMonos, which we love.
Make sure you say hi to Munkey next time you’re on MiniMonos Island — my guess is that we’ll be seeing a lot of him in the future as he may end up doing some special things for MiniMonos! We’ll tell you more about that later
Update: We were blown away when Munkey told us about seeing some trash when he was snowboarding last weekend. He said he “thought about MiniMonos”, picked it up and put it in the recycling bin! Munkey, you absolutely ROCK!!!

I’m breaking some rules this week! We’re only supposed to have ONE MiniMonos Monkey of the week, but this week we just had to have TWO!
You see drew and steve are friends! And they have an awesome MiniMonos cheats site — you can check it out by clicking here.
Now, ‘cheats’ doesn’t mean ‘cheating’! It means that drew and steve find cool stuff on MiniMonos that other monkeys sometimes don’t know about — and they tell you about it!
Drew and steve have been talking to us a whole heap. They have been letting us know what they like about MiniMonos as well as any bugs or problems they find while they’re playing.
Make sure you say hi to drew and steve when you see them on the island — they’re really friendly and you’ll find that they know a lot about MiniMonos!

Again this week we just had to choose 2 monkeys!
You will probably have seen Hi and Bye on MiniMonos Island — they are friends and have been on MiniMonos for a while now. They are really helpful to new monkeys.
Hi started his own cool MiniMonos blog called MiniMonos cheats, hints and more! Bye has been on board, posting on it since it started.
You will also see Sathvik is a new contributor and there are some comments from other monkeys we know!
We really like their instructions for how to play the Monkey flight and Recyle games. Check them out if you’re not sure how to play!

Wow!! How fast is this?
Last week on Twitter, Kaila sent out a tweet from MiniMonos just as the ColorMe Store was launched.
The tweet said: “There’s something new on MiniMonos and the first one to find it and tweet about it will be Monkey of the Week!”
Well, before she even got a chance to send her tweet, a tweet came from Hippo saying “ColorMe store released! http://bit.ly/bcHGCp” with a blog post already written about it! Wow! How on-to-it was Hippo!
When MiniMonos Monkey entered the ColorMe store for the first time. Hippo was already there, being congratulated by a whole heap of monkeys for winning Monkey of the Week! That’s awesome!

I joined MiniMonos since early February and fell in love with this site since then. I also created a fan site to help everyone out — it includes a lot of fun stuff as well as rare pictures, freebies, FAQ, guides, exclusive interviews and much much more. Our monkey of this week for this week is Viper!! Yipee! Woohoo!
Viper is a great monkey on MiniMonos island — she makes a huge impact in our community. She always leaves compliments and great remarks about other players on MiniMonos, as well as on their blogs and fan sites. Viper has helped out so many new and senior monkeys while she has been on the island and she is also a monkey that everyone respects! Not just that, she is very nice and friendly to everyone. No matter who you are, she will always be there to help you out and lend her hand to those that are in need.
Viper really cares about the environment as well as being green at all times. In fact, she has purchased a 6-month Top Banana Gold membership just so she can have a Going Green competition and give it to another monkey! We are totally blown away by her generosity. Anyone can enter her competition, artistic skill does not matter, as well as you can pin point what going green is all about. Which I’m sure you know how to do!
Here’s what Viper says on her blog, MiniMonos Guide, about her Going Green competition:
“Going Green can be described in many ways. Using software on your computer such as Paint or Photoshop (May be hand drawn), draw or create expressing what you think Going Green is all about. If hand drawn, just scan the your artwork or take a picture of it and upload it, then just submit your entry!
If you do not want to create or draw, then submit a picture of you doing something in real life representing Going Green, like planting trees or picking up trashes, with your monkey name visible somewhere in the picture when taken. “

Our Monkey of the Week this week is Emini! Listen to this awesome story:
A few weeks ago in Emini’s country it was Seaweek so she and other volunteers went out collecting rubbish from the beach. And Emini did such a great job she was interviewed for her local newspaper!
Emini said that amongst other stuff, she picked up a heap of cigarette butts. These can be toxic as they break down and if there are a lot of them it can affect our wildlife. Check out all the cigarette butts they picked up — there are about 1800 of them! Yuk!
Emini said in the newspaper interview: “Me and my friends have recently been aware of the environment. At lunchtime we just all go together and pick up the rubbish.”
Woohoo!!! We know that Emini and her friend, PurpleTanya, have been big supporters of PERcY’s Pick Up Trash Friday and have commented and tweeted about what they’ve been doing. Emini also told us that MiniMonos made her more aware of looking after the environment. That means that we monkeys are making a difference in the real world. How awesome is that!
Great job Emini and well done for being Monkey of the Week!
p.s. Wow! I just checked my messages and found out that Emini has a brand new baby brother! A huge congratulations again to you and your family, Emini!

Woohoo! It was really funny when I saw Rainforest today on MiniMonos island!
I said to him: “Hey Rainforest, can you do me a favor?”
He said: “Sure!”
“Can you come with me to the field right now?”
“kk”
So I took this picture:
Rainforest said; “Huh???”
Lol! Then I told Rainforest he is Monkey of the Week! Rainforest has discovered our MiniMonos wiki and has been going crazy! Here’s what he told Kaila:
“Wow, I love the wiki. Just added my art closet, and I added one of my fan arts. I also updated a ton of pages. Man, I had tons of fun. MiniMonos had a good idea with the wiki”
A huge thank you to Rainforest for doing so many new updates. One of them was an update on the items available now on MiniMonos, including some of the Monkey Fist flags:

Hi Monkeys! We’re so thrilled that one of our moggers volunteered to write a post about a Monkey of the Week! After talking about a few amazing monkeys, we agreed on somebody special! Here is our guest mogger’s post:
Hey all you monkeys! I’m here to recognize a very helpful, fun, and active monkey!
You monkeys have probably seen me around the island a lot, and I have been sneakily, like Badgerfox, observing all the monkeys – old and new – and their interaction on the island.
Lots of monkeys are really nice and helpful with everyone, and there is one monkey who really shines out from the crowd to me! This monkey has been around MiniMonos since alpha and is always helpful and friendly to everyone!

This week I want to introduce you to our Monkey of the Week — Banana! That’s in case you don’t already know her
If you have been on MiniMonos since the start of Beta, you may have met her.
If you have been on MiniMonos since alpha, you may have met her.
In fact, if you have been on MiniMonos since the start of alpha, you may have met her!
You see, Banana is the very first monkey on MiniMonos who wasn’t a staff monkey! So the very first kid on MiniMonos!!!! You’d need to be in super-quick to get the name ‘Banana’!
And although she doesn’t hang out on Castle Beach chatting, or write blog posts, do you think she still plays MiniMonos? You BET she does! ALL THE TIME!

Dingeljoe is a fantastic player who loves helping new monkeys (especially the ones who use Spanish as a first language) on MiniMonos and he’s SUPER friendly to everyone! He also has been in the weekly highscores in games a lot too. ^^

Hey there monkeys!
It’s that time again, where we announce our Monkey of the Week! Today we’ve chosen someone who has been helping out around the island a lot and has completed an EcoMonkey project.
It was a really hard choice, but we wanted to recognize a very special monkey named… Plum!
Plum is a helpful monkey, who’s been welcoming new Monkeys to the island, and showing them around!
You can also tell from the shirt Plum is wearing, that she is now an EcoMonkey! Her awesome eco-project was about stopping the use of plastic bags whenever she goes to the store. Check it out here: Plum’s fantastic eco-project!

Hey monkeys, Viper here! First we are sorry for the late post of Monkey of the Week due to some problems dealing with time zones. This weeks MOTW is…..miniJghRocks!
miniJghRocks always loves to talk and help new monkeys around the island, he even gives them tours as much as he can ^.^ He is very friendly to all monkeys.He also makes sure to keep as much poo as he can off the MiniMonos Island and helps recycle items If you visit his tree house his recycling bin is almost always empty and keeps his cloud powered electricity running.

Hello monkeys! Mystery Monkey here and the Monkey of the Week is….
He is very nice to all monkeys on MiniMonos, and he likes to play with other monkeys also. He also helps NEW monkeys on MiniMonos to get them to learn a little bit more about MiniMonos. He tells jokes and makes other monkeys “LOL” or “Haha” even “ROFL”. Cpdarkrai is always somewhere in the score board games! He also likes to wear black so look for a black monkey named cpdarkrai and that well be him! Cpdarkrai definitely deserves this weeks Monkey of the Week! Next time you see him tell him congrats on being Monkey Of The Week!

If you have been on MiniMonos since alpha, you may have met her.
In fact, if you have been on MiniMonos since the start of alpha, you may have met her!
You see, Banana is the very first monkey on MiniMonos who wasn’t a staff monkey! So the very first kid on MiniMonos!!!! You’d need to be in super-quick to get the name ‘Banana’!
And although she doesn’t hang out on Castle Beach chatting, or write blog posts, do you think she still plays MiniMonos? You BET she does! ALL THE TIME!

It’s time to announce the Monkey of the Week!! Congratulations to…..PepperCP!!
PepperCP is always fun and active on MiniMonos!
He is really involved with MiniMonos with as many events he can participate in – such as being a Mini Mod and being a mogger on the Go Bananas Blog! He has is own blog with Mxz7000 called MiniMonos Today as well!He helps out a lot on the island. He also comes to parties and always makes them rock! You definitely deserve this honor, PepperCP!! He have also created some fantastic graphics for MiniMonos for Viper’s & Calypso’s humongous, bananatastic art contest giveaway! He had two entries, one called ’1000 Words’ and the other one was called ‘Hopes and Dreams’

It’s time to announce the Monkey of the Week!! Congratulations to…..Kash!!
Kash is always fun and active on MiniMonos!
He is really helpful around MiniMonos and enjoys to participate in activities, both in-world and on the blog – such as being a Mini Mod, and he loves parties & organizing them on MiniMonos a lot! He has his own MiniMonos blog called MiniMonos Daily as well!Kash is one of the monkeys who bought the special Tiger Suit to help save the tigers! He also made a very awesome banner for MiniMonos & WWF-NZ!
Kash was announced as our Mogger of the Month for this month, December 2010!
Not only is he one of the very first moggers to recieve this, but he is also one of the only two moggers of 2010! Make sure to say congrats to Kash when you see him around MiniMonos! Best bananas,

Now is the time to announce the Monkey of the Week! Let’s give a HUGE congratulations to…..Dingeljoe!
Dingeljoe is a fantastic player who loves helping new monkeys (especially the ones who use Spanish as a first language) on MiniMonos and he’s SUPER friendly to everyone! He also has been in the weekly highscores in games a lot too. ^^Dingeljoe is one of our very first Spanish-speaking players on MiniMonos! ^.^ He’s very active! I remember when he was new to MiniMonos and I helped him around on MiniMonos, answering his questions.
Now he helps other monkeys!He really enjoys MiniMonos and does his best to keep MiniMonos safe along with lots of other monkeys!

So let’s see who is this week’s Monkey of the Week!! Congratulations to…..Cptodayiscool
Cptodayiscool is always fun and participates in quite a few events on MiniMonos, especially those on the Party Master’s blog! It doesn’t matter if she wins or not, what matters the most is that she has fun with everyone else and has fun participating! ^.^You should check out some of her entries for Bananatastic’s VOTW competitions!One was a music video called ‘Put A banana in your ear (MMMV)‘ and another was based on a theme, which is ‘Colors‘. Morty is one of the most ancient players on MiniMonos, who is really friendly and helpful to new monkeys and is very active on MiniMonos! He has been around MiniMonos since January 2010!Morty LOVES to play R.A.T.S and I can’t even remember how many times he has been in the highscores for being one of the top 3 monkeys to recycle the most items every week! xD
He also loves having fun and simply hanging out with his friends and new players. ^.^

Georgie2751 is a considered to be one of the younger and recent monkeys on MiniMonos, but she loves having fun and is always there when any monkeys need help! Georgie2751 loves to help new monkeys and attend events on MiniMonos in-world, like Bananatastic’s Go Green Party; she even won shells during the party! ^.^ She is also a mogger on Go Bananas, and has created fantastic posts for two past TOTW, one was Hi’s treehouse and the other one was Eco’s treehouse!

You should check out his AWESOME eco-project that deals with helping Alligator Snapping Turtles and their habitat.He is really motivated to help & inform others about being ecofriendly and his love for the Earth. Chimp loves to help new monkeys and those in need whenever he is around but he also loves to hang out and play with everyone too! ^.^

It’s that time again, where we announce our Monkey of the Week! Today we’ve chosen someone who has been helping out around the island a lot and has completed an EcoMonkey project.
It was a really hard choice, but we wanted to recognize a very special monkey named… Plum!
Plum is a helpful monkey, who’s been welcoming new Monkeys to the island, and showing them around!
You can also tell from the shirt Plum is wearing, that she is now an EcoMonkey! Her awesome eco-project was about stopping the use of plastic bags whenever she goes to the store. Check it out here: Plum’s fantastic eco-project!
It’s great that Plum has done something in her real life to help the earth stay nice and clean for everyone to enjoy!
